Quality Animals

Our groups of sable, roan, buffalo and plains game have been sourced over the years from some of the best herds in the country. We work together with nature to grow fertile, hardy and balanced animals with good horn length and a robust physique.

Our Ethos

The team at Swartrivier is deeply dedicated to upholding ethical and sustainable farming practices. We take immense pride in our efforts to preserve water resources and revitalize the spekboom plant ecosystem. Furthermore, we are resolute in our commitment to creating a lasting and positive impact on our local community.

  • We are raising funds to plant up to 20000 spekboom trees a year at a dedicated site on the farm Swartrivierdrift in the Klipplaat district to create long lasting greenery absorbing carbon for our community.

  • The Klipplaat and Aberdeen Recycling Project was borne out of a deep desire to help the community by providing a facility that would collect materials that were eligible for recycling and compensate those that collected and brought these materials in. Both communities have experienced a steep deterioration of municipal services including the lack of refuse collection.
